Hello! I'm Miranda.

About Me
My name is Miranda, but friends and coworkers call me Mari. I'm a 22-year-old native New Yorker in the senior year of my electronic journalism degree at UCF, with plans to graduate in Fall 2024.
I've served as President of the National Association of Black Journalists at UCF for over two years. I interned with Central Florida Public Media and freelanced with Watermark Media. I adore cartoons, cooking, live music and podcasts.
My mother always told me that I have a knack for getting people to tell their truths and that my talent is only suitable for two careers: journalism and law. I was not too fond of my American government class, which sealed my fate as a journalist.
I love covering underserved communities and cultural news through audio. However, I am open to all facets of storytelling and news coverage.
The way to right wrongs is to turn the light of truth upon them.
