Students silently processed the Palestinian historical film "Farha" Friday evening in Classroom Building II, horrified by the war acts depicted on screen. Co-hosted by the UCF chapters of the Asian Student Association and Asian Pacific American Coalition, students came together for a film night that highlighted Palestinian issues and raised money for families in Gaza.

The UCF Equestrian Club’s hunt seat team competed in its first shows of the season this weekend against several collegiate teams, tying for second place. UCF co-hosted the season’s start with the University of Florida on Saturday and Sunday.

UCF competitors rode against top rivals in eight flat and fence levels ranging from open to introductory classes.

I spoke with Sonya Mallard about her struggles to find a sense of home in Florida. Mallard grew up in Harlem and moved south in 1999 with her family to care for her husband’s grandmother. In 2013, she became the cultural coordinator for the center, where she keeps the Moores’ civil rights legacy alive.
